From before and after his election, I've received numerous negative emails forwarded to me about President Obama.  My following reply was to a particular one about a 63 year old granddad who told his grand daughter, "By your vote, you have chosen another family over ours for help. Judging from your email requesting more money, I recommend you call 202-456-1111. That is the direct telephone number for the white house."  In this particular email, Obama was the cause of every ill in America

When Bush was in office, he was blamed for everything.  Bush was hated by the liberal media and the Democrats.  Now Obama is blamed for everything.  He is hated by the conservative media and the Republicans.  The truth is: no one man as president can be blamed for the conditions, economic and otherwise, in America.  Our nation has always had moral and ethical problems.  Our historical roots are from Western Culture (European nations based on ancient Rome) and the Renaissance paradigm. Unfortunately many Americans are unfamiliar with our history. President bashing goes back to George Washington and the hatred many had for his anti-Crown stance and his leading the colonies into a subsequent rebellion. During the Revolutionary War there was much debate over loyalty to England. Many after the war returned to England. The Tory-Loyalist Party was dissolved, but stayed underground in America for at least ten years with British monarchy sympathizers

I have always found it interesting that the scriptures call us to pray and obey (exception of worshiping) those in authority over us. 1 Peter 2:13,14.  Peter lived under Nero

ps Let's not join in the bashing.  Instead, if we disagree with policies, write/call our congress reps and respectfully protest. We have the right to march as well.
